Statistics: Russia’s wage arrears rise 3.1% to 1.4 bln rbl in Sep

MOSCOW, Oct 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wage arrears rose by 3.1% in September to 1.369 billion rubles as of October 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.

The wage arrears that emerged in 2021 amounted to 531.3 million rubles, the arrears that emerged in 2020 to 239 million rubles, and the arrears that emerged in 2019 or earlier stood at 598.7 million rubles.

The processing industry accounted for 41.9% of the debt, construction for 17.2%, the timber industry and agriculture for 12.7%, healthcare for 6.3%, transport for 6%, and mining for 5.3%.
